about us

From London to Los Angeles.

Headlinephoto Ltd was formed in 1999 by photographer Jason Mitchell.

Jason started his photographic career in 1992, shooting soccer matches in England for the independent fans magazine Over Land and Sea.

Soon after that, Jason was employed by Nunn Syndicaton - a royal photo agency in London - under the guidance of owner Robin Nunn. Working with Robin proved to be an invaluable experience for Jason's career.

From there, Jason moved to news agency Assignments in Norwich where he covered news and sport for the national newspapers and magazines. With the experience of owner, former Fleet Street picture editor and photographer Bryn Colton, Jason established himself as a news photographer with a nose for a great story and an eye for the perfect frame.

In 1996, London-based Big Pictures came calling and Jason joined the celebrity photo agency. From shooting the first Spice Girls concert in Istanbul, Turkey, to Princess Diana holidaying in St Tropez, France, Jason was there for the money shot. Jason also spent a short period as Picture Editor at Big Pictures, honing his executive skills.

Headlinephoto Ltd was formed in 1999, with Jason and his team shooting exclusive celebrity pictures for national newspapers and magazines around the world. With the assistance of a leading UK picture editor, Jason and Headlinephoto Ltd became a respected and resourceful contact for newspapers, magazines and celebrities in London with many of his exclusive pictures gracing newspapers and magazines.

Jason travelled all over Europe and would work direct with celebrities ensuring maximum positive exposure for his clients.

A studio was opened and Jason photographed actors, musicians and models for magazines and for public relation companies.

In May 2007, Jason moved to Los Angeles, California and Jason continues to photograph celebrities and work direct for publications around the globe.

Jason currently resides in Los Angeles and follows his beloved West Ham United and New York Giants from his armchair.
